“We have gained a common language and working method that benefits the whole organisation”

In my opinion, the training course gets 11 out of 10 stars

Effektiv Nu has been training the employees at Schneider Electric since 2017. We had the pleasure of speaking to Robert Flinth, Sales Director at the division for Digital Energy within Schneider Electric, to share his experiences of the collaboration with Effektiv Nu. Robert has worked at Schneider Electric for 17 years in several different roles and completed the Work Smarter training course back in 2018. Given the various changes they were facing, Robert chose to retake the course in 2024, which he and his current team completed in the beginning of the year.

”I felt that I needed a refresher as it has been a few years since last time, plus we now have several new employees in the team who have not attended the course before.”

How did you experience the Work Smarter training course?

”I am completely sold on this course as it is so ”spot on”. The course is fantastic, with a structure and approach that makes everyone understand and participate actively. In my opinion, the training course gets 11 out of 10 stars. It is concrete and useful, which means that everyone can get started quickly and efficiently. As always, there are some people who experience a bigger challenge when it comes to the technology, but I experience that the structure of the course awakens curiosity in everyone, regardless of technical competence, and gets everyone on board. I am very satisfied with the course and our professional course leader.”

What effects have you been able to see after completing the training course?

”This course has helped our team in becoming more open about our challenges and experiences, which has created a deeper understanding of each other and emphasized the importance of structure in our work to be able to handle the challenges. In addition to the fact that we today have learned to handle our digital tools better, the course has for us meant a broader and deeper meaning. It has also created a greater awareness among the employees, where they have begun to realize how important it is to have structure, in order to feel good and manage a full working life.”

”Thanks to all the technical tips we received during the course, where we, among other things, learned smart connections between the programs in M365, we can today avoid unnecessary time wasters, which frees up a lot of time. We have also started to place higher demands on our meeting invitations, which has resulted in more efficient meetings, which also frees up time. In addition, we have gained a common language and working method that benefits the entire organisation.”

How are you moving forward after the course?

”This time we chose to do the Work Smarter course with a focus on OneNote. The next step is to focus more on Teams, which I hope we can do within a year to have continuity in our work. It has a lot to do with budgets and time, but the goal is to continue to improve and streamline our work.”

Would you recommend the Work Smarter training course and why?

”Absolutely, I strongly recommend the course. It helps us to get better at using our systems and to develop a common language and structure. In addition, the course contributes to us making higher demands on ourselves and each other, which leads to a more efficient and sustainable work environment.”

What would you say to someone who is feeling a little unsure about whether this training course is for them?

”I would say that it’s about thinking about where in your working life you want to be more efficient and avoid repeating boring tasks, such as creating meeting minutes, car policies etc. How nice wouldn’t it be to learn how to manage these tasks in a more efficient way that means you don’t have to reinvent the wheel over and over again, but use smart templates?”

”The Work Smarter course helps to create a more sustainable structure that frees up time and reduces stress. Hearing colleagues share their challenges and starting a dialogue about what each person’s workload looks like can provide valuable insights and prevent burnout.”
