There is no nonsense but very practical

Erika Lundholm Fröjd has been team leader at Söderberg & Partners for one of the largest teams in the pension sector for the past two years. Erika has extensive experience in organisation, business improvement and organisational change. She heard about the Work Smarter training course from one of her employees, who had already taken the training with her former team at Söderberg & Partners, and immediately felt that this was something they had to do.

How did you experience the Work Smarter training course?

“It was a bit funny because I received quite a lot of criticism when we booked this training as some of the team questioned why we needed to do this right now, when there is so much to do. But already after the first training session, the employees instead expressed; “Why haven’t we done this before? ” and looked forward to the next training session to continue their development.”

“I would say the strength of the training is that it is so incredibly close to what we do every day at work, and can easily be applied in everyday life. Already after the first training session, we received new tools that we could immediately apply when we were back at the workplace again the next day. We received many concrete tools and tips that were only built on during all parts of the training. There is no nonsense but very practical.”

What kind of effects have you seen from this training effort at your organisation?

“What I myself experience, and what I hear many of my employees say, is that the training helped you find a system that contributed to a sense of increased control. Among other things, we were taught the advantages of using the task list in Outlook and the smart connection to the email and calendar. Being able to directly create a task from an email and easily set aside time in my calendar for the task has made the shoulders go down a bit. I still have a lot to do, but at least I have the situation under control.”

 

How are you moving forward after the training?

“As I mentioned earlier, about half of the team really got the point of this training and work according to the work methodology we were taught. Then there are some employees who haven’t come quite as far and who needs a little extra support. With these people I have booked a private session every month to follow up on personal efficiency, where I talk to them based on how well they feel that they have started with this methodology and if they need any help. I have also booked two follow-up sessions with Effektiv Nu, which I strongly recommend everyone who needs extra support to participate in. I also remind my employees about the support function that is included after completed training, that it is okay to contact Effektiv Nu directly.”

 

What would you say to someone who is thinking about whether the Work Smarter training course could be something for them?

“We invested quite a lot of money in this training, but when you calculate it by the numbers of hours that each employee has freed up, and the total salary cost for these, you earn back this training incredibly quickly. All that is required is that each participant becomes a tiny bit more efficient, and then the entire cost of the training has been covered, where the consequential effects that come after the training are really just pure profit.”
